International Anniversary Conference at YSU: "Language at Crossroads of Cultures and Civilizations"

On November 5-6, 2026, the YSU Faculty of European Languages and Communication will host an international anniversary conference marking its 35th anniversary.

The conference is being organized as a joint initiative of the YSU Faculty of European Languages and Communication, the English Chair of Cross-Cultural Communication, the Chair of German Philology, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

One of the conference's special sections, dedicated to women scholars who have made significant contributions to the development of linguistic research, will this year be devoted to the memory of Alina Tonoyan, founder of the Chair of German Philology, Candidate of Philological Sciences and Associate Professor.

The deadline for applications is September 30.

The conference will be held in a hybrid format, both in person and online.
