Admission to the school is carried out in accordance with the school's admission procedure and consists of the following stages:
1․ Application Submission
Admission is open to both citizens of the Republic of Armenia and foreign applicants.
Applications to the YSU STEM High School are submitted online via the website admission.ysu.am.
Applicants are advised to review the list of required documents before completing the application form.
2․ Written Stage
For the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) stream, applicants choose any of the natural science subjects ("Physics", "Mathematics", "Chemistry", "Biology") and pass one written exam (the subject shall be chosen by the applicant).

For the social sciences (humanities) stream, applicants choose and pass one written exam in "Armenian Language and Literature" or "English" (the subject shall be chosen by the applicant).

3․ Oral Stage
The applicant who has successfully passed the written stage participates in the common knowledge verification interview.
Admission for prize winners of the republican subject olympiads (1st–3rd degree diplomas) and participants of the international subject olympiads (in the relevant fields) is organized without examination.
